Nishiki market in Kyoto opens early in the morning. The traditional market has become a tourist site and the merchants provide samples of their products: nuts, dried vegetables, fresh pickles, dried fish and there are lots of snacks vendors selling nabe, sweet potato donuts and candies. By the time we were out, we were full! Most of the products sealed in airtight plastic bag so you can take it home as an omiiyage!
